December 7, 2004 Rudyk's Lady Isabella had her 2nd litter of puppies. In the litter was a small little thing who was 6oz. She had 3 small brown spots on her left neck, that looked like Holly Berries. We started Calling her Holly. She was a spitfire from the start, she was small but a fighter. We were not planning on keeping this little package; we called several friends trying to give her away. We went to visit Randy and Donna Rudyk and brought Holly and Her sister Rocca for the ride. Randy who was very ill looked over his shoulder and said Oh my your keeping her! No we are not is what we told Donna. We were told to re home everything we own and keep that puppy, Donna said you must be stupid (lovingly). We were still not planning on keeping Holly, we brought her out of town with us when we went to SWOBC show in March 2005. We found a great home for Holly, the lady was on her way to pick her up. I was on the phone giving her directions and mom said put her on hold. Mom looked at me and said, we are keeping her. I started crying and told the lady, I'm sorry but we have decided to keep her.
Holly went to her first fun match at 4 months, she took breed and a group 3. At 6 months 6 days she went to her first real show. I was very stressed as she didn't know how to walk on a leash, my friends said stop stressing and enjoy showing her. Holly got her first 2 points that day. Over the next 3 months Holly took control of the show ring. She was Best in Sweeps at 3 specialty shows, Best Breed By Exhibitor, Best puppy, Best of Opposite sex for a 5pt specialty major and 5 days later got her 2nd major; at 7 months Holly had 10 points including her majors. One of the best wins for me and Holly was awarded Best Breed By Exhibitor in Memory of Randy Rudyk at the SWOBC by judge Mrs. Karan Rose Kilgus at 14 months old. Holly became my first champion when she finished her championship on September 23, 2006 just under 2 years old; and is now known as Int'l & AKC Ch. Langager's Holiday Blend.
Holly brings a smile to our face every day, she demands attention at home , in and ringside the ring. Everyone knows when Holly is in the house, just ask any who know her.
Thanks David for awarding Holly bulldog of the month for November.
